Kempinski Hotels has appointed Mr Torsten Dressler as the general manager of the Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square Vilnius, the first Kempinski hotel in Lithuania and the Baltic countries, which will open in summer 2009.
Torsten Dressler, who was born in 1963 in Rostock, Germany, has extensive working experience in the hotel industry including senior management positions with Kempinski hotels in Germany, Hungary, Russia, Africa and China. Prior to his recent appointment, he was hotel manager at the legendary Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin and general manager at the luxury Kempinski Grand Hotel Heiligendamm resort. He holds an MBA degree from the Reims Management School, France, and lists history, architecture, golf and playing piano among his hobbies.
