Vilnius Tourist Information Centre is selling updated Vilnius City Cards from the 1st of January 2010. Comparing this project with the previous one implemented last year, Vilnius City Card 2010 is noticeably improved and is of higher quality. A lot of new restaurants, cafes, galleries, souvenir shops, taxi and car rental companies take part in the project Vilnius City Card 2010.
8 new museums were added to the list of visited objects of Vilnius City Card: Subdivisions of Lithuanian Art Museum (Vilnius Picture Gallery, Radvilas Palace, Museum of Applied Arts, National Art Gallery), Museum of Genocide Victims, Lithuanian Energy and Technology Museum, Church Heritage Museum, Amber Museum-Gallery.
Vilnius City Card is oriented towards tourists who want to gain better knowledge of the city. There are two types of the card: a 24 hour card (LTL 52/EUR 15) and a 72 hour card (LTL 110/EUR 32). Vilnius City Card helps tourists to find out more about Vilnius, plan their stay, use public transport (both buses and trolleybuses). It also encourages to visit more objects and to use given discounts.
The project was implemented in cooperation with SĮ “Susisiekimo paslaugos“ (Vilnius City Card holders can use Vilnius public transport).
You may acquire a card in all Vilnius Tourist Information Centres.
It is also possible to book it online.
