18 March Vilnius will host the biggest Internet Conference in the Baltic States LOGIN 2010. The conference will take place in “Siemens Arena”. The main idea of the conference will be to discuss the future tendencies and innovations. The total number of participants is going to be 1400; 25 speakers will share their ideas and forecasts. Speakers will represent well-known organizations and business companies.
Except from usual reports and presentations, conference organizers will offer the participants an absolutely new and still unknown for Lithuania part of the conference. For instance, during the “Ignite” session networkers, following special rules, will discuss the chosen themes. Moreover, a “MiniBarCamp” will be working where everybody will be able to check in and to present his/her ideas and business plans. The final list of reporters will be determined by LOGIN 2010 participants.
Besides, this year, LOGIN 2010 will invite to vote during the Internet rewards’ process. During these rewards the best Internet projects and initiatives will be chosen. It is planned to choose 10 applicants for nominations. The winners will be presented during the open voting.
Last year during the LOGIN 2009 conference more than 1300 people were participating; Among 25 speakers there were the representatives of “Google” and “Apple” shared their ideas. The founders of LOGIN are the conference of Lithuanian blogers 2007 and BLOGin 2008.

Anniversary concert FOR HOMELAND – TWENTIETH! Traditions we create ourselves – be free, white – be Lithuanian! Commemoration of Lithuanian Independence Day this year will take place in Ūkio Bank Theatre Arena.
Organizers VORAI MC 1% LIETUVA present exceptional programme. The most powerful patriotic bands of various rock music styles participate in the event. Aistė Smilgevičiūtė with band SKYLĖ will perform the newest collection of Lithuanian partisan songs and musical compositions that have already become hits. After one year break band DIKTATŪRA will strike as hammer. Band KATEDRA will play Lithuanian metal hits of Rebirth times and new patriotic songs. With pagan spirit OBTEST will hack from the shoulder, because it is time for Thunder! Old Lithuanian songs will revive in ŽALVARINIS show. On the Twentieth Anniversary of Re-establishment of Independence Lithuania will also be congratulated by band LION’S PRIDE, the Flanders striving for freedom of their own country.
Independent Lithuanian State was and will be! LITHUANIAN… FOR LITHUANIA!

The 11th of March 2010 marks the twentieth anniversary since the Supreme Council (Reconstituent Seimas) of the Republic of Lithuania declared the Act on the Re-establishment of the State of Lithuania, which “decrees and solemnly proclaims that the execution of the sovereign powers of the State of Lithuania, abolished by foreign forces in 1940, is re-established, and henceforth Lithuania is again an independent state”.
The Act of Re-establishment of the State of Lithuania was signed on 11 March 1990. On this day, the victims of fights for Lithuanian independence are honoured, the ceremony of hoisting the state flag takes place in the Nepriklausomybės Square, and brass band parades, performances by various groups, and concerts are organized.
