Thereby this project it is sought to provide artists of various spheres (ceramicists, textile artists, sculptors, painters, photographers, poets, florists, musicians, dancers, etc.) with the possibility to present their works in a somewhat unusual natural environment – the Botanical Garden.

From Brooklyn to Brazil to Boston, the fashion industry is already buzzing about the news that this year’s globe-spanning extravaganza Fashion’s Night Out, is back! The 2010 edition of the biggest fashion party in history promises to be equally epic, splurge inspiring and full of even more stylish surprises. This night Global Fashion Festival will lighten the capital of Lithuania to the dawn with endless fashion events and stylish parties, fashion presentations endearing unique and special experiences bargain!
World Fashion fiesta this year will be held in New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, London - all the fashion capitals and Vilnius also will create this feast. “For the first time in Lithuania Theatre merges with fashion. This is a unique event which presents a plot, and where the plot is emotions are also”- designer Juozas Statkevičius commented on the upcoming “Fashion Night” in Vilnius.
Fashion fiesta will begin at the afternoon, 4 pm. at the Town Hall Square. The main square of the city will turn into a podium . At the same time frenetic fashion caravan will move from the Town Hall Square. Mannequins, accompanied by trumpet brass band, actors and dancers, will flood Old Town and Centre streets. The fashion caravan will visit stylish shops, fashion shops and cafes which will be opened till the night. All of them will offer special discounts, exclusive service, music, theater and fashion shows.
The programme of the Fashion’s Night Out:
16 pm. Opening ceremony at the Town Hall Square
16 -19 pm. Fashion caravan through the streets of Old Town and Centre
19 pm. Programme of the “arMada” at the Town Hall Square
22 pm. Collections of young Lithuanian desogners, dance and music ensembles at the Town Hall Square.
23 pm. Fashion and art ball at the Town Hall.

Oval presents the international event – “Vilnius CO2 Green Drive”
For the first time, on October 23rd 2010, the international environmental cultural event – Vilnius CO2 Green Drive – will come to Lithuania. With a successful history in Copenhagen, Milan and Riga and a planned continuation in Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paolo and Beijing – the hottest electric and low CO2 omission cars and vehicles from all over the world are ready to come to Vilnius!
Equipped with GPS tracking devices, Vilnius CO2 Green Drive’s parade will drive through Vilnius, painting a huge “CO2” sign marking Vilnius to the outside world as a green city aware of the climate issues we are facing today!
During the event in the very heart of Vilnius’ old town – Vilnius Town Hall Square (Rotušės aikštėje) – a lot of green lifestyle activities will take place (eco-design, eco-games for kids, eco-food, eco-drive and much more).
Some of the world’s newest and fastest electric cars will be presented in the best fashion style on Vilnius CO2 Green Drive catwalk. The event will finish with a spectacular Drag Race between fuel engine cars and some of the fastest electric cars in world.
The event is supported by Nordic Council of Ministers office in Lithuania, Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Vilnius municipality and many other international partners. Vilnius will become the Mecca of art photography for the second time.
International art photography festival “In Focus” will invite Vilnius’ citizens and guests for photographic dialogue to the galleries and public spaces. The focus of the festivals’ program – premieres of photo artists from Lithuania and abroad, workshops, photo sessions, competition program and much more. Special attention will be paid not only for professional art photography but also to the experiments of young artists; to photography as a way of thinking and seeing the world. “Boredom”. Vytautas Balčytis, Monika Bielskytė, Alfonsas Budvytis, Joana Deltuvaitė, Doooooris, Vidmantas Ilčiukas, Arūnas Kulikauskas, Algimantas Kunčius, Giedrius Liagas, Alvydas Lukys, Jonas Mekas, Aleksandras Ostašenkovas, Vytautas Stanionis, Andrius Surgailis, Algirdas Šeškus, Remigijus Treigys, Gintautas Trimakas, Remigijus Pačėsa, Rokas Pralgauskas, Saulius Paukštys, Raimundas Urbonas, Arturas Valiauga, Gintaras Zinkevičius. For the first time in a joint space, works by artists exploring the “aesthetics of boredom” will be displayed at the National Art Gallery. The term, created by Dr. Agnė Narušytė, describes the photography of the last decade of the 20th century through boredom, and has affirmed itself both in artistic and academic discourse. In the exhibition, boredom is extended from Jonas Mekas to nowadays photography.
