Latvian airline airBaltic carried overall 367,343 passengers in July 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 24% increase comparing with the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 296,754 passengers.
During the first seven months of the 2010, airBaltic transported a total of 1,839,432 passengers, or 22% more than during the same period in 2009, when the total number of passengers was 1,501,985.
In July, airBaltic operated 5,750 flights, or 31% more than in July 2009 when airBaltic operated 4,387 flights. Between January and the end of July, the airline provided 32,498 flights in all.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in July 2010 was at a level of 76% - or 1% point less than in July 2009. During the first seven months of 2010 airline’s load factor was at a level of 67%, or the same level as in the same period in 2009.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 81.8% in July 2010. This means that almost 82 of every 100 airBaltic flights in July departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes

Latvian airline airBaltic carried overall 238,453 passengers in March 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 36% more than in the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 175,539 passengers. In March of this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 39% compared to the same period last year.
During the first three months of 2010, airBaltic transported a total of 624,191 passengers, or 25% more than during the same period in 2009, when the total number of passengers was 500,161.
In March, airBaltic operated 4,155 flights, or 27% more than in the same month in 2009. Between January and the end of March, the airline provided 11,731 flights in all.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in March 2010 was at a level of 66%, or 4% points more than in March 2009. During the first three months of 2009 airline’s load factor was at a level of 62% or 2% points more than in the same period in 2009.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 90.6% in March 2010. This means that more than 90 of every 100 airBaltic flights in March departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.

On March 30, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will start operating flights on the route from Vilnius to Hamburg, Germany. airBaltic will fly from Vilnius to Hamburg three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Passengers will board a Fokker 50 aircraft for a flight that will last for two hours and 40 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at LVL 34 (EUR 49), including airport fees and transaction costs. In summer season 2010 airBaltic will offer direct flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Rome, Tallinn, Hamburg and Oslo.

Latvian airline airBaltic carried overall 186,512 passengers in February 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 27% more than in the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 147,425 passengers. In February of this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 33% compared to the same period last year.
During the first two months of 2010, airBaltic transported a total of 385,597 passengers, or 29% more than during the same period in 2009, when the total number of passengers was 324,622.
In February, airBaltic operated 3,565 flights, or 29% more than the 2,770 flights of February 2009. Between January and the end of February, the airline provided 7,576 flights in all.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in February 2010 was at a level of 61%, or 1% point less than in February 2009. During the first two months of 2009 airline’s load factor was at a level of 59%.
Despite bad weather conditions and transport-related strikes across Europe last month, the 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 86.6% in February 2010. This means that more than 86 of every 100 airBaltic flights in February departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.

As of the beginning of its summer flight season 2010, the Latvian airline airBaltic will operate flights from Lithuania to Latvia 12 times a day. At the end of March an additional day route from Kaunas and Palanga airports and one route from Vilnius will be presented.
In the new season airBaltic planes will fly three times a day from Kaunas and Palanga airports and in Vilnius airport the airline will offer six routes a day.
At present, airBaltic operates direct flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Riga, and Rome. As of March 4, direct flights to London will be launched. In the coming summer season, the airline will offer flights to Dublin, Hamburg, Manchester, Oslo and Tallinn.

Latvian national airline airBaltic will launch new flights from Vilnius to Dublin, Hamburg, Manchester, and Oslo, thus offering already 13 direct flight routes from Vilnius. airBaltic will start direct flights to Dublin on March 29, to Hamburg on March 30, and to Manchester on March 31. The airline will operate the first flight to Oslo on May 17.

Direct flights to the Norwegian capital of Oslo will be offered by airBaltic four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Boeing 737 aircraft will take two hours to get to Oslo, with one-way ticket prices starting at LTL 105 (EUR 30), including airport and transaction fees.
For 2009 airBaltic has announced 20 million EUR preliminary profit, and achieved 6% passenger growth to 2.75 million passengers. In 2010, airBaltic will open at least nine new direct routes from Riga, and has so far announced destinations such as Madrid, Belgrade, Vaasa, Umea, Beirut, and Amman. The number of direct routes from Vilnius, announced by airBaltic over the past month, already total 10 – London, Paris, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome, Hamburg, Manchester, Dublin, and Oslo.
