The leading accordion masters do not sidestep the stages of the International Accordion Festival in Vilnius. The foremost accordionists from Germany, Finland, Poland, China, Japan, Norway, Spain, Russia, USA, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Belarus, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Italy and other countries come to share their competence with the Lithuanian audience.
Held on 9–14 November in Vilnius, the 13th International Accordion Festival will be the forum for the hottest accordion news, the anniversaries and the most wanted performers. It will be the scene for notable guests from Italy, the home of the highest quality accordions and exceptional accordion stars.
The accordion music lovers will be treated to the widest range of repertoire including the Lithuanian premieres, the marriage of contemporary music and dance, accordion and guitar jazz, Argentinean Tango and Tango Nuevo, classical transcriptions, club improvisations, hard-bop, traditional jazz, the French New Musette, electronic music, various ensembles with DJ admixtures and more of unpredicted music.

International singers-songwriters festival THIS IS ME is the highest point of Lithuanian Bards movement nowadays. It is held from 2003 and concludes the experience of bards’ performances, which regularly take place in educational and cultural centre “Vilnius Teachers’ House”.
THIS IS ME traditionally will start on 3rd week of October (19th-24th), 2010, already for a 8th time. It is the one International festival in Baltic countries, which is uniting bards, singers-songwriters and folksingers.
Educational and cultural centre “Vilnius Teachers’ House” is the main organizational body of the Festival together with popular actor, songwriter and singer Gediminas Storpirštis, who is Festival’s Artistic director.
During 7 years of Festival’s successful existence it was visited by famous bards from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, England, Scoland, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Latvia, Spain, Italy and France. Well-known Lithuanian bards as K. Smoriginas, O. Ditkovskis, S. Bareikis, G. Storpirštis, A. Giniotis, A. Kaniava and young bards’ generation perform on the Festival stage as well.
From 2005 Festival’s concerts are taking place not only in Vilnius, but also in different places all around Lithuania (Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Varėna, Pasvalys). Every year Festival’s borders are expanding too: from 2006 Latvia was included in Festival’s tour (concerts in Riga), from 2008 – Poland (with concert in Punsk). The main united Opening and Final festival’s concerts take place in beautiful baroque style St. Catherine’s church (Vilniaus st. 30).

Held in Vilnius every year since 1991, GAIDA is the biggest and most renowned festival of contemporary music in Lithuania and one of the most important forums of new music in Central and Eastern Europe. In the last ten years the festival has become a prestigious event not only for music lovers from Vilnius and Lithuania but also for foreign audiences attending the festival concerts in increasingly large numbers.
GAIDA covers and presents a broad sweep of the latest musical tendencies, fashions, and creative processes in Lithuania, Europe and the world.
GAIDA introduces Vilnius audiences to the finest achievements of world contemporary music. The most well-known musical performers are invited to the festival, and the most successful pieces of music are performed.
GAIDA reflects and initiates the living creational process of Lithuanian music. Only the newest Lithuanian musical works, specially commissioned from our composers, are presented during the festival. No other festival held in Lithuania commissions as many works from Lithuanian composers as GAIDA.

Twelve capital’s major nightclubs have reported that 2010 September 24th is an open door night. Vilnius night clubs will open the door for free and each will present a unique musical programme. An unforgettable club night is guaranteed for Vilnius residents and guests, who will be able to migrate freely from one club to another all night long and choose favorite club and music.
GREEN Night – event, which has not an analogue, will provide fundamentally new quality for Vilnius night life. GREEN NIGHT project involved 12 Vilnius nightclubs and music sites:

The 13th edition of independent post-folklore, alternative music and Baltic culture festival Mėnuo Juodaragis will take place on August 27-29 in Aukštadvaris, Trakai district, Lithuania. This will be a very special place and occasion, and the festival has limited number of tickets. MJR festival will gather all friends and contemporary pagan folk music lovers to the famous Devil`s Pit (Velnio duobė) - a spectacular mysterious well in Aukštadvaris regional park. The park is a part of the fabled historical Trakai district, impressively rich with archeological objects and remnants of ancient Baltic religion. The stages and camping of MJR 2010 will settle in the woods near two beautiful Škilietai (Skeletons) lakes… There the three days and nights of Juodaragis will charm everyone with inflaming music and friendly atmosphere. So this year MJR is presenting even more special programme, that keeps many suprises. This will be new great experience, seeing 30 original groups and projects from Baltic lands and Europe, presenting various musical styles and dedicated performances.
